About Grace Kim

Winston Churchill Fellow Grace Kim is a concert pianist, artistic director, educator, and researcher with a passion for making classical music accessible to all. Grace has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras across Europe and Australasia, appearing at major venues and cultural events, including performances before the Dutch Royal Family and Australian dignitaries.

A former child prodigy and international competition prize-winner, Grace trained at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, before completing Master of Music degrees at the University of Melbourne and Rotterdam Conservatorium (Cum Laude). She was the Inaugural Fellow of the Australian National Academy of Music and later served as Artistic Director of the Summer Concert Series at Amsterdam’s renowned Rijksmuseum.

After eight years living and working in the Netherlands, Grace returned to Sydney where she now balances a vibrant career as a performer, teacher, and advocate. She is the Founder and Creative Director of Sensory Concerts®—a groundbreaking initiative offering high-quality live music experiences for neurodivergent audiences and those with sensory sensitivities.

Grace’s research on the calming effects of repetition in music for neurodivergent children is published in The Arts in Psychotherapy. She teaches and mentors young talent through the Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she also lectures and tutors in Music Education and Psychology of Music. Grace is currently undertaking PhD research at the University of Sydney and has recently been appointed a Postgraduate Fellow at the Conservatorium.
